I'm recovering from shoulder surgery so can't join in. Different
month, but if anyone on the list is in central MA or southern VT on
August 27th, check into the D2R2, one of the best events in New
England. I think they have 40 mile, metric century and regular
century options. Part road but mostly gravel woods roads. Lots of
Riv type bikes and guys like Peter Wiegle show up every year. Harris
Cyclery (of Sheldon Brown fame) is always well represented. The D2R2
doesn't have a web site per se but Google it and you'll get a lot of
info. Modest registration fee goes to a land preservation trust.
Tremendous group of riders - music, food and beer at the end of the
day! Should be on everyone's riding bucket list.
