The BF "Classic" knickers are indeed fine looking pants, but I've had a pair wear through the seat very quickly. Also, I find them cut a little low in the rise -- I like cycling pants that come up high -- like "old man" pants. That way they don't leave a gap at the back when you are in the hooks.

The VO Rando bars are a completely different type of bar than the Noodle. I bought a pair of the VO and hated them because I thought they were way too narrow on top for me. For them to work for me they would need to be 46 or 48cm wide where the levers mount and maybe 52 or 54 at the drops. But th

The perhaps unobtainable ideal would be the lightest possible Rivendell road bike, but I'd accept a bit of weight for the signature feel and handling which is the principal goal.
