Thanks so much. I think I'm going to go with Sugarcoat which, you are
correct, is Geekhouse. They're good people and former neighbors of mine. I
like that they are bike-specific in their work, and most importantly,
they're in town so that I don't have to schlep my stuff out to the 'burbs.

Anyone know a good bike shop in/around Santa Cruz, Ca. that would do
an excellent packing job to ship my Riv-bike? I'm in the midwest and
don't know a good LBS there. I've had bike shops 'pack' bikes before.
Always astounded that many do such a poor job. I can't afford any

I'm writing to ask for your assistance in finding a Betty Foy to test

Nice looking ride, Toshi! Let us know how the Rivet works for you on
longer rides. I have done 200k on a B17, and it was comfy, but I was numb

more). I currently have a Selle Anatomica on my AHH and have been testing

Sunday, I picked up a new black, Rivet Pearl saddle, which really

I am organizing the Midwest Riv rally, and I don't have a Riv. Toei and Singer
riders, if they exist, are welcome to attend. Frankly, I think we'll have as
many Surly riders as Riv riders. I don't expect much carbon, but you never know.

OK, Ablejack.. I think you're taking this "political correctness"
nonsense a bit too far.
This is a Rivendell Owners Bunch Forum... If we can't proclaim our
enthusiasm for Rivendell bikes on this forum, where can we???
No apologies.
And BTW I love everyone, even you.

Simple answer - me like! A lot. It really does seem to "disappear"

a few on gravel roads. Pretty sure I was faster over the gravel than I had
been last year on the Hillborne. Sure, a lot of it is the "new bike smell"
Thanks everyone for the thoughts. Guess for now, am going to keep it as a
single with low-ish gearing (39/17). Hoping to eventually increase motor
capacity to switch to a 16t (which I have sitting in a box).
May eventually try a Dos. But for now, not going to mess with what isn't
broken.
I understand. I'm sure everyone had a great time and were stellar and

I have a nice BB whose principal defect is that it is dirty. Photos below.
I am looking for a frame bag that holds more than the BB; something
like those that follow. Note that the bag must fit into a 17" Fargo
frame, either at the front or rear end.
