Civia has a double bolt seatpost that I've been using on my commuter:

Holds the saddle really well (no slippage at all) and the silver
finish is excellent-- plus it only ran me $25. I've been really
impressed.

Hey John,
As Doug says, there are allegedly two kickbacks - the S2C has a
(C)oaster brake, and the S2 has no brake.
Coasting is fun, I cannot lie, but I do prefer the feel of a fixed-
gear drivetrain.
The two speed auto-shifting hub is pretty slick, especially without
any cabling, but the coaster
Excellent! Thanks for the report, Bill. It really is nudging me
towards the S3X. If the slack in the system isn't too bad, the other
stumbling block for me is the cable-run. Did you ziptie the housing to

My vote is for an alloy Campy post. Simply and easy to use.

It was a matter of the brake stud location not giving enough clearance
for the arms when adjusted properly. I think there was a discussion
about this on the old iBOB list a few months ago, but I can't find it
at the moment.

I'm looking for an affordable seatpost with less setback than the VO
post. I don't really feel like springing for the Nitto post. VO has a
"nice" Kalloy post but I'm never sure on budget parts without
recommendations. Any parts that y'all like that are less spendy?

Hey John,
There is more than one version of the S2 hub. The S2C (I think) is a
coaster brake, the S2 has no brake but shifts by back pedaling...

Hi Phillip,
I just completed my QB conversion to an S3X hub, with a barcon shifter

Is that the clicking I hear coming from the back room? I thought it
was typing or a freewheel spinning, but it was the ABACUS. Is it true
