Commuting Notes:
I recently changed the setup on my Hillborne to a small Sackville
TrunkSack in front and a medium SaddleSack in back. I also bring along
a ShopSack (medium) to use as a tote at work and for shopping on the
way home. I really like this combo but sometimes I need just a little
more carrying capacity to bring home all the goods.

If you find yourself in this situation - try this: Loop one of the
ShopSack straps over your saddle and let the bag rest on the
Saddlesack. Open the bag and fill it up with all the stuff that won't
fit in the SaddleSack. Zip up the bag and loop the other strap over
the saddle. Then "snap in" the ShopSack to the metal loops on the
SaddleSack. I use a back rack for bag support and have the SaddleSack
zip-tied to it so there is minimal swing and sway. This attach method
got me out of a bind yesterday and might come in handy for you too.

Keep being awesome Rivendell riders!

Joel
