I'm wondering if any of you were subscribers to the little bike 'zine
called "Wire Donkey," published by Mason St. Clair?
If so, do you know of his whereabouts / status? My most recent edition
of his 'zine is from 2005 and I have nothing since. By my calculations
he'd be 81 years young now. Do any

Hi Joe,
I'm also 5'6" with a 79 PBH and I ride a 53cm Atlantis.
I started with a 51 and traded it for a 53. The top tube is a little long
but I use an 8cm dirt drop.

I drove it up to RBW, tested a Nitto S-83 in 26.8 and it fit snuggly and

There have been several discussions that have included fleeting
mention of this crank. Are there folks out there using this
crankset? The ability to set up any gearing combination is, of
course, quite appealing. I do understand about being locked into the

FWIW and IMHO,
Anybody who expects to ride quickly on a multi-use path has it all wrong
anyway. As long as the dogs can't break free, I don't think this is any
more hazardous than most other things on such a path (tricycles, kids on

One of the photos provided in the OP shows the dogs resting on a
narrow paved path. It's an obvious hazard for other bike riders on
the path to safely pass that rig.

My measuring would be moot, now that we know they fit.

Oh, and I certainly would *not* assume that a 25.4 bar works with
mountain levers. Presumably the 25.4 is mm and describes clamp
diameter; that's independent of the diameter of the main body of the
bar. For example, I believe
I use Tektro RX4.1 reverse brake levers on my (deliberately upside

It is a drop bar with a very shallow drop and flaring ends so that your
wrist can rest agains the ramp of of the bar while in the drops. They also
