I stopped by HQ today and test rode this bike. It was so great that I

sometimes I can be pretty stubborn. Grant espouses the wider Noodle
bars for average sized males. ( I'm 5'11" 187 lbs) After 30 years of
riding 42-44 cm bars I thought I was pretty happy and comfortable. The
new Ram I picked up last Saturday ( 11 hour turnaround drive LA-SF-
LA) had 46 Noodles. W

Though I'm busy plotting upgrades to my new-to-me Ram. New paint,

Just got back from a ride in my MUSA shorts. I haven't found perfect
shorts, but they're pretty darn good. Their knickers are the best though.
Well, adding 1% Lycra would make 'em even more the best.

Been wearing the MUSA shorts for most of my rides this summer, but had
to pull out the knickers today. High about 60 with a wind from the NW
gusting around 30mph. Also had a long sleeve wool top. Felt
positively chilly in the air.
Riv bike content - put in 42 miles on the Sam Hillborne today.
I really like the old blacksmith shop. That would be a swell couple
of lofts were it in a city.

Agreed. I've been wearing MUSA knickers and shorts on most of my rides
this summer and am very happy with them. I love the shorts for bumming
around and while I wish they weren't so billowy and were a little
longer, I've grown to love them. The knickers are good too. The new
navy blue is great. And

black. Wonderful, comfy, long-lasting [been wearing my old ones -in

them however I am wondering if it's possible to get a setup like a 92
XO-2 or 93 XO-3 where there are brakes and grips near the end versus
the centered road bike brakes. The problem would be width of the bar

Saw somewhere on the group that Waterford's frame-building process
involved holding the frame in such a way as to make it difficult to
drill and/or thread the fender 'boss under the bridge. Merely
parroting; I don't know enough to know whether this makes sense. But I
do like appearing knowledgable!

I'm sure they are both excellant choices for the creeper.
I have a Rambouilletnever had it off road to speak of...but I wouldn't
be the least bit leary of it for

Not sure about the Sam forks. I think the Hunqa forks were supposed to
be Toyo-built. That said, I have a first run (Taiwanese?) Sam (bought
Sept 09), which has the 3 dot fork crown, slender fork blades, and
cantilevers (but has the seatstay bridge with the hole underneath for
direct fender mountin
...am I missing something?
