You need a model that is 7/8" or 22.2 mm in diameter to fit tourist or mtb type brake levers and shifters, not the 23.8 mm or 15/16" road bar diameter. (Note that these diameters are different from the clamp diameters which, historically, have been respectively 25.4 mm and 26.0 mm -- mostly.
