You can measure the chainstay width, inside-2-inside, at the point where the
tire passes, then figure howevermany millimeters you're comfortable with for
clearance (four is a fine minimum-and the Japanese standard, Times 2 that's
8.). Then do the negative arithmetic, and blammo--there's your max ti

A generic flat rack strut is the way to go.
My second-hand Mark's rack came without a flat bracket, so I pulled an
old rack strut from the dusty bin. Five minutes of bending with a
mallet and a vice should do it.

just looked at my rackstruts, they are for brakebolt, one angled for
the front, one for the back, may be they changed it in between but i
know the under the forkkrown possibility only from VO. Why don't you
try to hammer yor brakeboltstrut flat, should be possible or take the
VO one for 3.75 bu

That is a fine looking bike and it has been available for at least a
couple of years. Never seen one in person, but would not mind owning
one.

I seem to remember a post by Grant on this group about how there would
eventually be an inexpensive Quickbeam-like bike called The Simpleton.
It was in a thread where Grant first introduced the idea of expanded
geometry. I hope they do it.
