Yes, I would be interested in this as well. We posited that Puppet
and facter could make a nice foundation for a CMDB, but you need more
data. It wouldn't be as feature complete as, say BMC's Atrium
product, but in most cases you don't need that... But what you do need
is the information kept up
I vote for foo::_files.

1. For puppet to make use of a .gemrc, should it be in root's homedir?
2, When Ashley states thatI can use "exec" to manage the install, I get it,
but that begs the question of whether Package truly can't add arguments.

I'm not familiar with the nfs_share type, but if permissions/ownership
aren't specified, they default to whatever Puppet is running as (which
is generally root).
