You didn't say what kind of switches they are. If they are Cisco, you can do a "sh cdp neigh" and that will show the next connected switch. There may be a similar command on other switches. You'll have to check the documentation for the device. I use Cisco Works/HP Openview to manage mine. Sin

ps -u "[username]" just returns this PID TTY TIME CMD and yes, I substituted the real username. Just didn't want to show it here. When I run who, it shows the user on pts/2 Finger returns this "[username]"*pts/2287d Oct 13 10:11 So there are no proceses owned by the user.
