Tell the installer to format the partitions. if you have /home on a
different partition then dont format it. have it auto partition if you
want, but tell it you want to verify what it does and make sure
partitions are formated. should be ok then.

I have some computers that were previously running redhat 7.3. (46
computers.)
I configured redhat 8.0 and using imaging software I installed it on the
systems that were previously running 7.3.
I saved all of the files from the rhn directory.
What files do I need to have copied to the new rh 8.0

Actually I start X by typing startx in the console.
I solved the problem by using an .Xclients file which is picked up very
well by X on load.
The mystery of the .xinitrc file is not solved but my problem is solved

Not new to Linux, but new to Redhat, I like the Redhat Network up2date
facility a lot. But how do I get the changing icon in my taskbar for it.
In Gnome it is there but not in KDE .. which is what I use, and I cannot
find what I need to do.
