At some point I thought I had noticed that only the 3D mesa demo
screensavers were causing that to happen. You might try either leaving
your settings on random and removing the mesa ones, or selecting a
single screensaver.

Subject: screensaver in kde not running
hi,
has anyone got such a behavior ?: after installing rh8 I was going
trough some desktops like gnome, icewm, bluecurve and last not least
kde, but was very surprised about a "dark screensav

the screensaver activates.
Any idea how to get the random one to work? I appreciate having the
screensaver change over time as it does in Gnome when random is selected.
Should I add this comment to the former bugzilla?
yes, please add it to bugzilla. Thanks

The screensaver under KDE and Psyche does not appear to work.
Regardless of what screen saver I choose, nothing ever shows
up. Eventually, the monitor power saver kicks in and it goes
blank, but there is never a screen saver on it.
This system worked fine under KDE/RH 7.3: it is a Hitachi
