Hi Pavel,
Thanks for the tip.
I tried your suggestion (>redhat-config-packages --tree=/u1/cmura/ISOs/,
which is where the disc1-->5 iso's are located), but this doesn't help...
Well, at least the "redhat-config-packages" application opens properly,
but when I check th
I don't know what causes your problem, but if you have enough space, you can
either copy all packages from CDs to directory and use
'redhat-config-packages --tree=/path/to/packages' command or put the iso
images of your RH cdroms into one directory and use 'redhat-config-pac

Hi,
You probably should install agt-get from http://psyche.freshrpms.net. I'm not sure,
but it might do want you want.

On the NFS server, copy the CDs to a directory tree as documented in
the README on disc #1. Mount the NFS directory yourself, then call
the package tool like this:
redhat-config-packages -t /mnt/rh80
or:
redhat-config-packages --tree=/mnt/rh80
or:
redhat-config-packages
Is there a way to configure the Package Management utility to point to
an NFS server with the redhat tree?
instead of putting in the CD everytime you want to add/remove a group of
packages.

Thanks Warren,
that does look exactly like what I'm getting. I also just ran the rpm

I'm running an AMD with 512M as are some of the other people. I don't
know if that matters, but it's more info.
Thanks again, I'll be

Could anybody help me with this?

I am NFS mounting my local mirror of Red Hat Linux 8.0 to /mnt/8.0. I
am successful at using the --isodir option like this:
redhat-config-packages --isodir=/mnt/8.0/en/iso
Thanks.

Hi,
I'm trying to install packages from iso images with
redhat-config-packages/redhat-install-packages. I'm mounting image as a
loopback device to /mnt/cdrom, but redhat-config-packages still tells that
cdrom not found. Is there a workaround for this?
Thanks,
Pavel.
