Hello,
I am a bit surprised when I realized that I had installed PSPP on 1 PC
2x under Windows, and in one case system commands were colored in the
syntax window, in the other not.
This is the version (psppire.exe) 2.0.0-gc8ce79
1) dated (download) 6.3.2024: syntax is colored
2) dated (down

Hello,
I was wondering if I could be given an in-text and end-text reference on
the Windows 64 SPSS version.
I'd like to reference this program in my assignment in APA format however
I'm not 100% sure if I have been entering it correctly.
If unsure on the APA format below is a sample
Thanks, John.
Alan's suggestion seems to be a logical approach for handling regression
reference categories. More generally about missing/adding REGRESSION
subcommands, I'd need to think about that -- there are other features I
would prefer to see implemented in PSPP fi

This creates two dummy variables called x_dum1 and x_dum2 and they

Thanks for the speedy response, Alan.

specify '0' as the reference category.
However, if I understand you correctly, the method for PSPP is
s the reference group.
Think about it... the model for that group is missing the dummy coded
variable and each of the remaining K-1 variables each have a regression
coefficient that compares them to the reference group.

I use PSPP (current version 0.10.2) to generate linear regression models.
But, after checking the manual and help archive, I'm still having
difficulty understanding how PSPP treats the reference categories for dummy
variables, and if/how/what PSPP options let you set the reference.
Please
port.
Have fun

I have just discovered and installed PSPP. Seems to be a great programme.
However, when clicking on Help, I get the following error message ...
"PSPP error: Cannot open reference manual: Failed to execute helper program
(Invalid argument)"
What do I need to do to ensure I can access
