I'm using the 64 bit Ubuntu 8.04 and haven't had any problems after 6
months. You can force load 32 bit applications if you need to, but so far,
no need... Ubuntu has been great!

uninstalling the device, then have windows look for and reload the device.

Crazy thought: Check the time and date on your PC. If the internal PC
battery is low the system will default to a date/time before the date of
your files. Just a guess..

I've been on Win7 through all the testing and release, so it's a year +
experience w/ me. I like it a lot.
Improvements include:
Much better UAC controls
Significantly improved legacy driver and software support. Compatibility
mode actually works really well now.
Really fast cold start -> useabl
If it's like many Apple products, it will be much better by the third
release. I love the idea of reading magazines and newspapers in color, so
I'm interested but I'll wait for some revisions to come along.

Have you asked them to just turn off their data while they are trying to use
your WiFi? It can't go through the LTE etc if it's turned off.

Sort of. Yes you can turn off system restore ( you will lose any stored
points by doing so ) but ComboFix will try to create one. I honestly don't
know if it will with System Restore turned off, I've never tried it.
ComboFix will make corrective actions... that is, ripping out evil things
