Hi All.
I have observed some strange behavior when using VRFY against my Postfix
relays.
I use GLD greylisting called as a policy service:
smtpd_recipient_restrictions = check_recipient_access
pcre:/etc/postfix/recip_access,
permit_sasl_authenticated,
permit_mynetworks,

Dear Guys,
I am having a postfix+ldap+jamm debian server having more than 15 mail
accounts and so now, Jamm is not able to load all the mail accounts together
and not able to reset a mail account password due to this. Please let me
know is there any alternative to Jamm, i am not able to see a

If you really have the CPU in wait 10% - 30%, then that's very likely
your problem. Is there something other than postfix running on this
box that is putting demand on the disk?

Hello Wietse,
For this day 15 times, all are postfix restarts, after parameters changes to
see what appended (activate/deactivate qmgr verbose) or when there is too many
mails in the incoming (to reduce the smtpd from 100 to 40 in the master.cf)

Hello Ofer,
I say "very idle" because I have 30/70% cpu idle and 10/30% cpu wait.
Sorry I checked...
- Get a faster disk
I have 2x36Go U320 15000rpm mirrored with md, 2x73Go U320 15000rpm mirrored
with md, and 4g0 memory (cache).
- Put your postfix queues on a separate disk from other stuff

Hello,
We have a bi Xeon 3.2Ghz 4Go memory Redhat EL4 server as a relay
connected to Internet. On that server we have an advanced filter
injecting mail back into postfix 2.5.4 for the anti spam/virus (Sophos
Puremessage).
Time to time we have lot of mail in the incoming queue, "no" mail i

Just a follow-up that I did end up fixing the Maildrop issue, mainly
due to this article I found:
http://www.marlow.dk/site.php/tech/postfix
Thanks also to mouss for suggesting that I reconsider procmail!
Maildrop seems to be a bit more modern in its design.
