I'm not sure I can answer the OP's question.
I know that having a per artist or album rating tag is not the easiest
thing to implement, and trying to work that into use in Squeezebox
could be a challenge.
I suppose one way to work it would be to utilize an ARTISTRATING field

Still, when you mentioned at ARTISTRATING tag, how were you thinking
I'd associate it to an artist? Is that something that could be done
more simply?
Thanks,

I agree 100% with this, everyone have to decide for themselves if it's
worth the money or not. I don't want anyone to buy the plugins if they

I will give it a try later tonight.

With the SB Radio costing (now), only $130, I can see how an added 38%
for 3rd party plugins can be viewed by some as "too much"

So to sum it up: You've spend a few hundred $ on Squeezeboxes and now
that you have to pay another 50$ for the one product that makes all of
this only worthwhile for you, that's too much and instead you are now
giving up and spending another few hundred $ for Apple hardware

Ok, the only way to
By performer tags, I meant tags in customscan_contributor_attributes,
not the "performer" tag. Sorry for not being clearer. I use mp3tag to
tag my songs with per-song custom tags, but how do I tell it that a
given tag that I put in a song is for a Particular contributor and not
just a per-song tag
By performer tags, I meant tags in customscan_contributor_attributes,
not the "performer" tag. Sorry for not being clearer. I use mp3tag to
tag my songs with per-song custom tags, but what do I tag to enter
per-contributor tags, not per-song tags?

Ok, I suspect the issue is that the current Multi Library plugin won't
refresh the library contents until after the rescan has finished.

I want to create an artist rating tag independent of the average of the
artist's song ratings, which seems to be used by Trackstat (is that
correct?).
The CustomScan documentation talks about performer tags, which seems
like what I want, but I can't figure out how to put performer data in
the dat

I also tried out the CustomScan alpha, so here's my feedback.
I like that the scan info is in the settings UI now. However, there are
two problems with it for me.
1. It seems slower than the released CustomScan (see attached picture)
2. Worse, none of my CustomBrowse menus work until CustomScan

Hi Erland,
I was dumb-struck to see you starting to force payment for your plugins
through License Mgr. I think it is the beginning of the end for a great
way to enjoy music (Squeezebox).
I have been using your plugins for 2 years, and consider my use
relatively advanced. And I frequently use SQ
