Hello All,
I recently changed OS of my one system from Redhat linux 9.0 to
Fedora Core 4. Now I am facing problem with my TATA indicom pre-paid
broadband connection. Now I am not able configure the DSL modem
connection with FC4. But I can able to configure the same connection
Suse10.0.
Finally **I** have a concern:

Hello All,
For the modem connected through the ethernet not need to change any file or
not needed the recompilation of kernel.
I just configured the DSL modem using Yast (for Suse 10.1 ), fill the
required details(DNS IP Address, username password) and reboot my system.

I have tried the instructions given here too. They do not work for any
recent 2.4.x / 2.6.x kernel. Atleast, they did not work on Debian Sid or
Slack 10.2.

I have installed and used this modem on Debian Sid, and Slackware 10.2.
You'll need to recompile the kernel and add support for ATM, USB Modems and
PPPoE. Also compile the driver for the C

USB support is already there in RHEL EL3
and RHEL AS4.
Both os are able to detect the modem i.e. DLink
dsl-502t router.
If dsl modem is connect to ethernet card, then it's
not the problem. Just configure card to use IP
obtained by DHCP.
But in my case modem is connect
