somehow I don't get a cgi built compiled. Why is it sapi/cgi/config9.m4 and not
config.m4 and more important, may that be the reason that cgi does not build?

Are you using a windows system (or are you unix). Either way the
solution s/be similar.
This should not be a problem, all you need do is edit the apache
httpd.conf file to reflect your PHP location:
In windows:

Apxs isn't under that directory, cant find it with a find, nor when
doing a locate. Only one file comes up when using locate, and that's a

Im trying to set up PHP 4.3.5 for my apache 2.0.48 server..
I've read the install.txt file over and over again, but cant fint what
i've done wrong.
I have added these lines in httpd.conf:
LoadModule php4_module c:/PHP/sapi/php4apache.dll
AddType application/x-httpd-php .

I have just recently installed PHP beta 5 on Windows XP Pro and I am
having problems connecting to mysql, phpinfo() works fine but it looks
as though it is not loading any mysql modules even though PHP install
file says this is now built in.When I run attached mysql connect test I
get error
"F
handle. $errno and $errstr are not set at this moment. If i try to
connect to an IP Address all works well.
Any hints are welcome.

I'am new to PHP.
In PHP there is the possibility to use URLs in functions like fopen() or file().
Is there way to tell PHP to use a Proxyserver for this ?
I found no suitable option in php.ini.

The main cause for this would be an incorrect filename (of the script) go to
the iis options for the php script engine and select the option "Check that
file exists".
If thats not the cause - then I have also got this when I try to use the
ob_gzhandler (output buffering) make sure this isn't set
I haven't been able to get php installed on my red hat 7.1 box, I am running
apache 2.0.16 beta. Is there anything I am doing wrong, I did the same
things as I did to get it installed in 1.3.22
