Im using Windows 2000 server with IIS5, and trying to get php 5.0.5 working with mysql 5.
The PHP site says that the latest installs no longer include the extensions for mysql due to various reasons ( I think they just prefer letting Mysql deal with it), and point you at the mysql site to download what you need.
Using any of the php installs (either the installer or the zip file) from the php site results in mysql orientated pages complaining they cant find mysql support.
Mysql on the other hand say that you should refer to the php site for the extensions !!!
In the past I have simply gone back to php 4 and mysql4, but I cant now as im required to setup a box with the current build for testing.
I have tried adding ALL the php folders and subfolders to the PATH as well as all the mysql folders, but it still doesn’t work.
I have a libmysql.dll file in my mysql folder, but I don’t know what im meant to do with it.
HELP!
Olly

Hang on, Let me know...
I haven't been keeping track..
What are you trying to do?
I've just read your emails..
You are on a Windows platform correct??
The entire process of downloading and installing on my system the latest
Apache 2.0.55, PHP5.0.5 and MySQL5 took less than 14 minutes for me..
And they all use installers.. there is very little config to do and they all
work a charm.. database with php etc...
I'd like to help you so please let me know where abouts you are upto and
what you need help with..
Tata for now

Hi,
libmySQL.dll is located to your MySQL directory . eg.
c:\mysql\bin\libmySQL.dll.
You can use that one.
