I had Apache 1.3.22, PHP 4.0.6, and MySql 3.23.41 all working fine together
under RH 7.2.
I then made the mistake of installing Zend Studio Server and PHP can no
longer access MySql when run from Apache. When I access a .php page through
apache I get this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined fu
The Apache 2 apis are continually changing. You pretty much always need
to use current PHP CVS against the latest Apache2 to get it to work.

I'm trying to compile php-4.1.2 as a DSO module for Apache-0.32.
I don't have enough space in the default location so I put them both in
/d2/usr2/local/...
I couldn't make the stable/release versions on Apache or PHP compile so I
tried the latest versions of each.
For the Apache I used:
./config
I installed PHP using the Windows installer package (920k), I am running IIS
5.0, Windows 2000. On first try everything seems to be fine. I created a
test file with one line in it on a new site with all
read, write, execute, and browse attributes turned on. Once I browse to the
directory I see

All you really need is something quite basic
A Pentium II 450 would work with about 256mb RAM recommend 384 or 512. The
Hard drive size is really up to you and the amount of info you are going to
store on your site. You sound like you could easily get away with a 10GB HD.
