Try using MS76 batteries. The A76's are too weak to run the camera.
The shutter won't fire without electricity - electromagnetic release.
The first 2-3 shots on a Super Program register at 1/1000th and I suppose the
Program Plus does this too. It's a feature that prevents the tyro from

I have never even touched a Program Plus, but I would wager it is telling you there is
no film in
it.
