ACTUALLY .. ooops didnt mean to shout...
I discovered that there was a shape that was close to it in my Elements
stash - has rounded corners but a tail on it, that I chopped off..
worked like a charm - it was one of those little cartoon bubble ones.
But your method worked also... thank you!
This works in PSE6, not sure about PSE5.
Counting the foreground/background color selection, look for the fourth
item up from the bottom of the toolbar. Mouse over it and hold the left
button down, you should get a flyout menu of several shapes to select.
One of them should be the rounded rec
alas, elements 5.0 only has rectangle and elipse that I can see.
wonder if there is a way to bring it in.

I was trying to avoid inventing one with typefaces but I could do it in
