Lisa, it doesn't always do well to spend big on a microfone for skype
any microfone that's capable of being plugged into your pc that you can
get from k-mart, big W or the like will suffice.
I got a $40 plastic fantastic I bought from the then grace brother's and
it still works to this day.

$70 which will serve very well for this purpose.

I think you can get a Behringer UB-502 for about $50 or $60.
It is the smallest Behringer mixer and has microphone and line in.
And yes, Behringer is the correct spelling.
It will solve your problem plus give you options to do other interesting
things as well.

Using Sound Forge 8.0, does anyone know how to adjust the volume within the
processes menu? that is, by default one is only given 4 volume choices:
untitled, 200%, -50%, and mute. I would like to know how to switch this to a

sound forge 6 with Jaws 8 and there is a trick to accessing the gain control
on the volume page.
On the volume page tab once and you should hear jaws announce quote gain
unquote.
