Hi Randy,
hehehe, I think you actually mean an iPod, not an iPodder.
iPodder is the now former name of one of the most popular
podcast receiving programs out there.
what you're thinking of is an mp3 player, not a device to download
podcasts, I would guess?
If it really is an iPod
Hi, isn't there an MP3 player that also has a speech program available to run
with it? I think it's called Rockbox or something? Does it work well? Rockbox,
I thinkk, works with another brand of MP3 player? Any thoughts on this
appreciated. That said, I'm getting on pretty well with the iPod shu

Hi Gang:
Is it possible to completely separate the Numpad keys from the extended keys
for keyboard mapping purposes? It can be done if the numlock is on; however,
as far as I know, when the numlock is turned off, the cursor keys in the numpad
section are treated the same as the cursor keys in

The problem with rockbox is that it seems to only work on discontinued
players. I don't like the idea of buying stuff that may not be in working
order, as it's hard to ship it back, the UPS store and post office are in
locations that I am not familiar.

There's an option under configuration manager, alt+s and keyboard settings.
I believe there's an option under there for what you want to do.

Hi folks
I've got virtual audio cables here. This software is supposed to allow
you to add another virtual sound card input, which means that if things
work right for me, I'll be able to record Skype conversations, something

It sounds neat. I hope you didn't end up paying for the full version before
you see if it will actually work. I was thinking about getting this program.
I heard sound solution in winamp could be used with it such that everything
goes through it. Watch out if you set that up, as you have to have
Well, like i explained in my first message, i haven't even set it up yet,
so I don't even know how to set up a cable with it.
I don't have the sound solutions plugin so that part isn't an issue.
I'm at the very beginning, the control pannel looks very confusing so i'll
need some kind of explanati
The virtual cable thing is supposed to work exactly how electrical audio
cables would work if every piece of software was a box with inputs and
outputs on it running through a mixer. I think the input and output streams
can go to more than one place. You could send skype's playback to your

Hi
Ok, now in front of me here, I've got the audio repeater program open. The
wave-in combo box has 2 choices, either sB audigy audio ff80 which is my
sound card, or virtual cable 1 out, which of course is the virtual
cable. right now it's set at the sound card.
same for the waveout combo box.
HI Chris,
The way I would set it up is that I'd have Skype use your sound card. Don't
use any of the virtual cables for your devices in Skype. Then I'd set up
the audio repeater to have your sound card as the wave input device and
virtual cable out as your wave out device and then tell goldwave
I have heard it records whatever it can receive., if you were to use skype
with the cable set as the devices to use you would tell wave in to use the
cable out, and wave out to use the sound card in. If you don't use the
virtual cable with skype, it could be possible to only capture their side o

Hi David
I did a bit of experimentation, and when i set goldwave up to record with
the virtual cable one that's set by default, microphone was one of the
sliders i could set, so i'm pretty sure it'll work. I'll have to give this
a better look tomorrow though. I wanna try this when my mind is a
