You may also like to check the read commands that CDEX is using for your
drive, if I recall their is a detect read command somewhere in CDEX, don't
ask me where that command is though as its absolute ages! since I've played
with that software. Also check the mode that CDEX is using for your
CD
I'm playing them in winamp. It's not on every song though.

beginning and end of tracks. They are: Start and end offset (sectors).
Look under the CD drive tab of Cdex configuration. You might also want to

Would saving the tracks as WAV's to the hard drive first fix the problem?
Perhaps you could convert one track at time from WAV to MP3?

What are you playing these mp3's with? With winamp, I notice a click at
the biginning of each selection that I play. Sounds like the click you
hear when surfing. I've wondered how to stop that click myself.

Hi Sharon.
This is fairly common and that scratch sound can appear at the start of a
track or at the end. I think it's caused by the encoder not being able to
make a completely clean cut between the track beginning or track end.
I use a program called MP3TRIM to clean up my ripped tracks. It's
