I don't believe that ripping a track at a time would resolve this minor irritation with CDEX and it would be more trouble than it's worth. To put things into perspective, I get about one example of a click or scratch at the beginning or end of a track for every 3 or 4 CD's ripped so it's not really a big deal to trim it off. I normally review the ripped tracks with Winamp by starting the music in that folder and then using alt + R to move me to within 5 seconds of each track's end thus allowing me to review the end and start of each track and only trim those that have a click or scratch.
