Hi. I'm using a 32 gig SD HC card with no problem. It takes a little time to load large amounts of files, but once that's done things work quite quickly and normally. I can't answer the formatting question, since all the cards I use worked right away. Have a great day, and don't work too hard.

Hi. Yes, formatting a 16 gig card does indeed take a long time. I haven't the very latestfirmware revision installed but I got no progress indication while it was all happening silently. I'm not sure, but he latest firmware might insist you have the power supply plugged in while formatting a car
