The replay products can record from the sound card in addition to capturing
the stream. They will capture your system sounds and synthesizer unless you
also use the "enhanced soundcard driver" from replay which captures the
sound as it enters your soundcard and thus does not get the synthesizer

Replay-Av 7.04, the latest version is as easy to use as previous versions
but can be made more complicated if one so chooses. The latest version
allows greater choices in how the MP3 is recorded. One can record streams
directly without going through the soundcard at all although I am not sure
replay-radio and replay-av will do that for you.

Does the luxpro tangent allow for resume? I mean by this that if one has a
book in MP3 and one stops at chapter 7, can one resume there when one next
turns the player on? Can one stop, play something else, and return to the
first file at the point one left it?

Well, not using JAWS, I'm guessing here but I don't think it is a JAWS
issue. I think you have checked inadvertently or otherwise the mute
recording check box when setting up the recording. When I use the enhanced
sound card driver, all sounds come through the computer including speech,

the input. It will record the stream while not recording system and other

Actually, for many soundcards, you can make recordings without the replay
radio drivers. I suspect you need them if, like myself, you want to use the
extended sound card driver. This is not automatically loaded onto your
computer as it can in some cases cause problems, but was revamped and

In the volume control for most sound cards you can get to which driver to
mark as the default. Not sure how this differs from sound card to sound
card but I am pretty sure you can set the native soundcard drivers as the
default and the replay radio drivers will not start with windows. I used
replay-radio does allow streaming RM files to be turneed into mp3 files. In
fact, thhat is its preferred final format for recordings.

select the station you want to listen to if you already have something
scheduled on it or go to the add show menu, pick a station, and proceed
through marking it is "unscheduled." Now once you have completed the menus,
that station will always be available in the initial menu of replay-radio.
I use replay-radio regularly and am quite satisfied. Have none of the extra
add-on programs so can't comment on them. With replay-radio and the
additional enhanced driver, I can record streams and have them divided into
chunks of my choosing. One can record either setting programming as with

are they supposed to do? In Windvd Menus are accessible by hitting letter

There two possible problems assuming the speaker cables are good and
properly connected.
1: in volume controls, under properties, you may have checked the mute for
stereo mixer but not for mono. Second, in the audio settings for speaker

I had a computer with what claimed to be the crystal sound board the three
jacks were vertical, all one eighths jacks. The top was speaker or
earphones, the second was line in, and the third or bottom was microphone.

I had a similar problem with a different device but my solution might help. Put the
software disk in the computer without opening it which is usually accomplished when
inserting a CD-ROM by holding down the shift key a few after inserting the disk.
