Okay upon reading this message again I'm even more puzzled and I ask the question, why do you need to stop Window-Eyes running, I assume you're recording from the line in or similar from your audio device is that correct? That being the case then if you have Total Recorder set so that it records

I've never used spacebar, try control-r? You may also wish to check how the keyboard shortcuts are defined or perhaps you may wish to customise these particularly the "Global Hotkeys" which may make your life even easier. I must say though that I'm surprised people don't get an extra sound card

Hi Gang, I haven't used Total Recorder for a long time and am now trying to put some cassettes on the hard drive. I turn off window eyes so it won't record the speech and then press spacebar to start recording. Then I press spacebar again to stop recording before turning windoweyes back on.
