This is not my understanding of how USB drives work. I tried to find a good reference to point to but I couldn't find one because I got so many hits for utilities to create the equivalent of a recycle bin on a USB drive. I'm pretty confident that Windows doesn't place a recycle bin on your USB

Hi Vicki, When you delete files from the player, use the shift plus delete key combination instead of just pressing the delete key. If you just use the delete key, it sends it to a recycle bin on your player, which can't be seen when you look for it, and you'll have all those deleted files taking
