Hmm.
No luck with Nero.
Perhaps I should have made things more clear here.
I don't just want the audio from the .avi files.
I want to burn them, in tact, on to a suitable meadia for play in my home
DVD region 1.
Replay wont do the job in demo mode either. I refuse to buy before I try.

Here's an old message that appeared on Blindtech about the original
machine. I stress that this message refers to the original unit, so I

accessible than the original which, according to this message,
concentrates on giving the illus

OK, I'm beginning to get a picture of how this works and the price tag, while
somewhat affordable, doesn't seem to be proportional, to what is really
offered, by any means!
Thanks,

Hi Mac and all,
I've noticed people talking about this on another list I
subscribe to, (admittedly a UK based list, as I'm in the
Uk), but if I'm understanding the discussions on that list
correctly, then the new device may not be accessible to
blind people as yet.

It sure just looks like a read=-aloud kind of thing. In other words, I
don't see where it says anything about the ability to bookmark being
speech-friendly and such. It's probably a lot like the read-aloud feature

Usually you have to convert the .avi files to DVD using a converte

device, from Amazon. I am perusing the support section, to determine if the
Read To Me feature, which they say is still in
