Not sure what you mean by one touch, but if you are watching something and
just want to start recording on the fly, most definitely. You can just hit

Joe,
Its possible that you put the files onto the CD, and it converted them to
wav rather than leaving them as MP3. I use nero myself, but if you want them
to remain as mp3, just generate a data cd. Check the cd to make sure that
they are there as mp3s. Furthermore, the player may not handle vari

Russ,
I know the Sony ICD-U70. It has great speed control. One can speed up MP3
file playback up to 100 %. However, it's speaker is not really useable,
it is much too soft.
You could check the Olympus DS-50. It has a built-in speaker and one can
speed up MP3 file playback, max is 1,5x. The DS-50

Unless we got hold of sources to feed into a sound card that had less noise
than 32 bits could pick up in a recording, it doesn't seem worth wasting the
disk space for the larger wave file even if some card might exist that can
record at 32 bits. I heard in a demo that 64-bit recording is availa

I think you need to ask yourself why you're bothering to go over 16-bit.
After that, see if 32-bit is available for any other format such as line-in.

Hi Walter
Thanks for the info on the Milestone. On the website below it is
described as a credit card sized device with SD flash card. It does
not mention a built in speaker. Is anyone on this list using it?
Does it have a speaker and speed and pitch control?

Hi Russ. I don't own one as I already have an MP3 player which I use only
for music but the RNIB Milestone is apparently a very good player.
According to those who have told me, it has a built in speaker of high sound
quality and is very compact. Transferring files is straightforward and it
