Joe,
Its possible that you put the files onto the CD, and it converted them to
wav rather than leaving them as MP3. I use nero myself, but if you want them
to remain as mp3, just generate a data cd. Check the cd to make sure that
they are there as mp3s. Furthermore, the player may not handle variable bit
rates, and it may be necessary to convert the mp3s to constant bit rate. I

hello friends, i have a sony diskman, a-track d-nf611, it plays regular
cd's, and mp3 cd's, however, today i downloaded seven mp3 files from a
friend, and using roxio cd burner i  put the files on to a data CD, however,
when i tried to play the cd on my diskman, it wouldn't play the files, what
