Yes, nowadays, many do inface read mp3 disks. In face, any cd player pretty
much guarantees to play mp3 cds.
Have a good day

An external mixer is always the best way. If you're doing this for
live concerts and productions, that's all you need. You can feed the
PC into the mixer and control the volume of both the microphone and PC
right through the mixer. If you're doing it live on the net, you'll
just need an addition
Yes, Joe, a 4GB card is accepted by the R1 if it is using the latest
firmware. I don't recall the procedures for either checking or
updating its firmware, except that it's a must-do for the larger

You shouldn't have any problem if you burn them to a CD-R. If you use a
CD-RE, though, things are more problematic.

You don't need to remove the Creative mixer. You can simply disable it from
starting in Msconfig. The entry is CTSysVol in the Startup tab.
You can use the standard Windows mixer to accomplish most tasks except for
surround sound adjustment.

If you're looking for a DAISY recorder anyway, why not go for the PTR2.
With it you'd get a DAISY software, with which you can convert MP3 files to a
multi level structured DAISY title. I created a review of the PTR1 and
PTR2, both reviews can be heard at www.longus.info.

You will need quickmix or some quick fingers to access the volume control,
pluss you will need the sam encoders. That's all I can give you for now.
