What you seem to want is to change the file to 22,500, 16 bit, stereo.
To do this will take two operations:
1. With the file loaded, go to the processing menu and choose "Channel
conversion". Under that menu you will need to choose one of the several
choices to change your file from mono to

Soundforge for MP3's is 128 KBPS, but with Goldwave, you can go to 320. I
wonder why that is.

The other thing you can do when you schedule a show is be careful that in
the output format you keep your stuff in .mp3 format.

Hi Bob and all:
Well, the problem that I am having is that I want to save a file as a mono
file at 64 KBPs, 22050 Hz.
To the best of my knowledge, that is not one of the presets. When I go to
the custom settings, It does not appear that I can select those particular

Yes, it can be done but you have to do some experimenting.
However, if all you want is 64 kbits at 22050 then all you need to do is
use the preset in the template list which is labelled 64 kbits FM radio
quality because that is, in actual fact, 64 kbits, stereo at 22050.
