With all due respect, you have been offered some real solutions. You don't
want to use a trial version of Gold Wave, you haven't given us the results
of trying to open the files in Sound Forge, the idea of using Winamp to
convert them to wave files doesn't seem to interest you, what do you want
Hi all. I thank everyone who tried to help me with this, but I didn't seem to

challenge. I don't really want to listen to these stories on the computer; so
I have to find some viable solution. I don't know if I can conve
For me, it's an easy choice to use Winamp over their default player.

You need to go into Folder Options off the options menu in My Computer,
find and edit the file type. In the meantime, you can download by arrowing
to the link of the mp3 or ogg, then hitting right mouse button (JFW) or
application key (Wiondow-Eyes) and then the letter A for Save Target As.

Hi Dean, thanks for the hint; I changed to Winamp for playing Live 365;
however I get a dialog for sending an error report to Microsoft; the error
involves FlashPlayer; is FlashPlayer terribly important for most websites?
I've looked in Add/Remove Programs and it's not listed there; if I were to

You can try to use soundrecorder which comes with windows. You would have
to pull up the first track play it to the point you wish to mix in the
second track and enter the edit menu and arrow down to mix with to get your
second track.

Hi Bruce. Thanks to you, and everyone else for this. I'll go into
Soundforge, and see what I can do with that. Converting MPG to MP3 was an
option of mine. There are three Lone Ranger TV shows from 1956 on a CD. I
wanted to do something with them so I could listen to them on my living room
I don't think you can unless you purchase one of the plugins from the Sony
site. You could always run your mpg file through Winamp which is free and
use Winamp's disk writer plugin as the output plugin. Further more. You
could also play it in Winamp and use Total recorder in accelerator mode. A
I don't know, because that's what I don't have. Someone wants to buy it
for me, I'll be glad to find out. What I'd do is open Sound Forge and try
loading the MPG file into it. If you can, then you can save it in whatever
format you want.

Hi Robert. Thanks. I'll try that, but when I went into Soundforge, it said

I do not own Goldwave. Can someone recommend a tool for combining audio
files such as separate tracks from a classical CD into one single larger
track? I rip from Winamp into M4A format.

Disregarding the Premier burner, since I haven't used it, put your cdrw in

one of your choices should be Erase CDRW. Try that, and ask if there are

after getting off the site, JFW just freezes, so I'm unable to see what kind

Thanks to all those who have replied to my query about two un-rippable CD's.
I now have a few options to try. Has anyone actually tried running a pencil

Thanks,

Hi Gary,
Why not just open your MPG file in Sound Forge and then save it as MP3.
Best.

In the worst case scenario, you can install Goldwave from www.goldwave.com
and use the demo. If all you're doing is converting files, you won't reach
the per-session keystroke limit.
