Try to run the AnyDVD drvier from
http://www.slysoft.com
When this driver is loaded all trafic between CD/DVD drives and software pass thru this driver and copyprotection from both CD's and DVD's should be removed. It will also make a DVD region code free. Maybe the driver will give you access to your CD. AnyDVD works with all CD/DVD software.
