Hi Terri, Nero is very particular about burners, and doesn't seem to support as many as other burning software does. I had a USB cdrw drive, that was supported by Nero, but then Nero came with the drive. You might be able to get supported drive imformation from Nero's website, if there isn't any in

Hi Terri, Your friend has presumably installed the necessary drivers for his external CD burner but has he selected it with Nero. If not, tell him to launch Nero and press Alt+R to get into Recorder Menu and press Enter on Choose Recorder. Provided the burner is plugged in it should be listed. U
