I don't believe that it is possible because the countries cannot send
audio feeds to the United States because that would be in violation of
the rights given to NBC by the USOc and those rights are protected by
the International Olympic Committee.
Also, if memory serves me correctly, Wes
CDEX has options for extraction that should take care of clicks at the
beginning and end of tracks. They are: Start and end offset (sectors).
Look under the CD drive tab of Cdex configuration. You might also want to
change the spinup speed.

Sorry if this would be considered a cross-post, but have they come out with
a version of quickmx for the later version of winmx yet? I know they were
in the process of developing it the last time I checked, but haven't gone
back to check yet.

does anyone have a site where one will be able to listen to the Summer

Hi
I understand that it is supposed to make WinMX a bit faster for people with
broadband connections by allowing you to set the auto find resource to
unlimitted. I haven't gotten it to work properly.

Bob,
Thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately I don't have Sound Forge, but it seems as if Total Recorder
would be able to do this as well by recording directly from my sound card,
so I'll give that a try.

Caroline.

Dane,
Thanks for your reply.
The reason I want to convert the files from WMA to MP3 format is so that I
can play them on my BookCourier. The BookCourier doesn't support WMA. If I
lose something in quality, that's just something I'll have to put up with.

James,
Thanks for your reply.
I will give your suggestion a try, most likely with Total Recorder, but I'm
not quite sure how I would go about recording from the sound card using
CDex. Could you possibly give me any more information?
Thanks,
Caroline.

Hi all
I have some problems using quick mx with WinMX. When I load QuickMX, it
seems to mess up the downloads list view. It keeps on repeating the first
song and says it is not selected. So it seems to make WinMX completely
unusable. Has anyone had this problem before?

Just to add to this thread. Looking over the CDEX manual, it appears the
track offset parameter that is the first edit box in the CDEX window should
be used for fine tuning track start. It is defaulted at zero but can be
incremented with each increment equating to a 75th of a second.

I don't believe that ripping a track at a time would resolve this minor
irritation with CDEX and it would be more trouble than it's worth. To put
things into perspective, I get about one example of a click or scratch at
the beginning or end of a track for every 3 or 4 CD's ripped so it's not
