Hmm. Ok, from some of the other posts I've read on this, it comes down to
changing the type of file that is produced. I would not recommend using
realplayer because obviously the default is to burn it in mp4, which is
certainly ok but no standard cd player can play that...yet. so you might

Select the sound board function, and then go into your recording options in
the audio tab of the sounds settings in control pannel, and make sure the

half the night one time figuring this out. Good luck!

Chris,
I know it takes more space for a wav file on the computer. But, older CD
players don't play the MP4 files. That's why I'm trying to find out how to
change the format so I can burn a CD in a universal format which will play
on most CD players. I still haven't figured it out, so if you hav
I wouldn't use a wav file unless you absolutely had to for some reason. All
the popular cd burning packages support mp3 nowadays and that seems to work
fine. Plus it saves lots of hard drive space as well. a wav file of a 5
minute song is about 50 mb, whereas an mp3 of that same song is about 10

Hi Sam,
Thanks for the information. I tried it and burned a CD, but the only thing
the CD burning wizard asked was the name of the CD. I didn't see a place to

Another way to do this, select the file where your recording is, then go to

the right arrow, choose the drive in which you have the CD to be copied.
After that, place the CD and press the menu bar and under file, go to write

HI Cindy, it seems to me that you should be able to go into the prefferences and
change what real 10 rips to. see if there is a wave to rip it to awav file. that way
you can burn the CD and it will play in your sister's home or car stereo.

Hi Gary and all, I'm no expert but.
Sorry Mate, doesn't work like that. You have to use CD audio format,

the previous CD at the start of the new one. Alth

Last things first.
You can burn an audio disk to an .nrg image with Nero. It seems to be the
only program (I'll probably get jumped on *grin*) that will save an audio
disk image. You can then mount the image and test with whichever is your cd
player.
