If you re-run the installer you should truncate the database before doing that.
To re-run the installer you delete the file
/webapps/openmeetings/conf/install.xml
Then you can run http://host:port/openmeetings/install again and
import everything from scratch into the database.

I've had good results with a Logitech C910.

As a OM user here are my thoughts.
OM is useless as an app unless it provides superior audio and visual
communications in a manner that does not frustrate the non-techie enduser. The
rest of the features, while important, are not the "secret sauce". The visual
stuff in OM works great. The au
I understand those concerns and that my frame of reference is generally US
based. I don't think we should simply discount the iOS products as a
passing fad or as limited use devices.
A significant number of US people are accessing the web with these devices.

Actually, OpenMeetings doesn't cause much echo problems - compared to other
products such as Jitsi or Linphone.
To mitigate echo with any of those systems you should:
- Make sure, the loudspeakers do not beam into the microphone(s). Move the
microphone close to you.
- Do not use the cheapest mi

Is there a way I can just force a re-run of the initial setup page? I
don't have anything to loose. Email is not working. I went out to

I could capture the link.

Hi,
Is it possible to move the video windows in openmeetings to my second screen ?
It seems not possible but it would be very interesting to have one screen with
video and one screen with whiteboard.
Thanks, Ph.
I knew that second solution but if 1 want to talk, then he cannot !!
Ok then, I'll buy a bunch of head sets !

Yes,
either you need a headset,
or you only enable the microphone of a single speaker at a time. There is a
button "give exclusive microphone" to do that with a single click.

Ok but why, when we all use Skype, we do not have any problem with that ?
With Open meeting, we can hear our voice on our speaker probably because it
pass across others microphone.
If we shut down Open Meeting and start skype, this problem stop !
On OpenMeeting, if we let the speeker at medium, w
Hi!
Maybe you need to set the $RED5_HOME variable explicitly.
Have a look at the start script you are trying to invoke. It uses this
variable
to specify the path of the log directory.
Try setting the variable $RED5_HOME manually to the correct path, whoch

Hi, I have red5 in a startup script (rc.local):

When I execute

Then I get:

Yes,
well that is what makes OpenLaszlo or other JS frameworks such a success,
you don't need to fight with the problems in the browser universe as the
JS-Framework should do it for you.
About streaming in HTML5 there was recently a spec published and I even
blogged about it:

Indeed - HTML5 is something brand new. So new that only a few have it. The big
advantage why I prefer Open Meetings to other - installed - systems is: No NAT
issues, no installation hazzles. Having to install the latest Chrome or Firefox
is counterproductive. Flash is there (unless you're a iPho
