Well, I'm still puzzled why OI installer and/or gparted won't show you
any info about the drive, however, your screenshot does tell a story:
It seems the disk is laid out in MBR partitioning after all, however,
it has all 4 primary partitions assigned (including one that holds the
extended partit
i am rev locked for now on 151a1 and have never had oroblems with snapshots
once i started the service.
i dont use the gui so i cant speak to those functions but the snapshots work.

In 151a5, I had to fiddle with password before time-slider GUI config worked.
But the present release is 151a7, so maybe that's a resolved issue now. Eith
the N40L dimms that come preinstalled are DDR3 ECC Non-registered.
did you buy a NON-ECC dimm?
my experience with the N40L has been putting a NON-ECC in with a ECC dimm,
you get weirdness from the BIOS..
*I* always run memtest after installing new memory no matter what.
