For what it's worth you can build the 3.0.10-dev versions of rsync with Solaris xattr and ACL support, whic seems to work well. We actually did tests syncing files with extended attributes from OS X to Oi 151 and even that worked (the OS X xattrs were stored as ZFS xattrs as well). Quite neat really.
