Hi Mat,
welcome to Okular development. There is lots of fun stuff to do!

Hi
I've been a web developer for about 15 years but recently I've been
learning C++ and would like a project to start developing to help myself
practice using C++.
So when it comes to systems programming I'm a novice.
I've been using okular for a number of years and like it very much.
However, I

I see that I had not stated the okular version in the initial comment; my bad.
Right now `okular --version` on my system yields 1.10.1 and the issue is still
present.

I am a bit puzzled about this report. I understand it that Page Up/Down show
smooth scroll animations, but Arrow Up/Down do an instant jump.
Are you a new Okular user, or can you describe the changes you observed? AF

Okular is excellent for annotations on PDF files, I often have many
annotations on the PDF and it is very tedious to review them under current
version. Is it possible to add function keys(e.g. F5/F6), or adding
buttons to the UI for fast access to prev/next annotations, this way we
can review them

This behavior also occurs when scrolling a document while the mouse cursor is
over the scrollbar (both horizontal and vertical). Tested on pdf files, text
files and images.

I don't really care much either way.
But if you do add the file then please document the --ignore-revs trick
in a reasonably prominent location. I for one didn't know it existed.
