I have no idea what the problem is, but...
a) By "All Green" do you mean the output is a plain green picture,
or does the output simply have a greenish tint to it?

Green is what you see when the Y/U/V data is 0. It would appear
that something is encoding a bunch of 0s

Something is now even odder. lav2mpeg not encoding at all? The log is for a
32mb avi grabbed from dv using dvgrab.

In mjpegtools-1.6.1.92 on SuSE 8.2
I am using lav2mpeg -mpeg1 to for digital video avi files to mpeg and they are
coming out green.
This did not happen with earlier version of mjpegtools converting the same
files.
