For me, scalers are only an occasional diversion from my daily grind
For what it's worth, a 'blur factor' option is on my list of things to
add to y4mscaler; I imagine it would simply scale the size of the kernel
to lower the spatial cut-off frequency.
Right

Google has indexed most archives, so just use google and search with the

My system is a 2p Xeon with an Iomega BUZ card. I'm running RH8.0
with custom 2.4.20 kernel. I've compiled and installed driver-zoran,
jpeg-mmx, avifile, quicktime4linux, libmovtar and mjpegtools-1.6.1.
It took me a while to get it right, but it now appears the compile and
install was successful.

The sourceforge archives appear not to be searchable - are the searchable

FYI I just installed Mandrake 9.1 rc1 (rc2 is out) and mjpegtools is
included. Very good indeed. 9.1 is looking like a multimedia distro of
choice with up to date libraw, libdv amd a ton of relevant stuff. I did
an upgrade from 9.0 on one machine and it worked fine, and a clean
install on anoth
--reduce-hf doesn't actually throw away the higher frequency DCT bins.
What it does is simply increase their quantisation (which of course means
more low-amplitude ones get 0-ed).
Is it easy to make the amount of the increase and the transition
adjustable? To give yet ano

Hi,
Well, I got LVS working finally (actually, had to enable v4l in the X
config but never got around to restarting my machine until now).
Now it displays the output of the capture card and capturing works.
But, the output it displays in the window is greenish. The sliders
all affect the image
