KDE Plasma crashes on startup with second wallpaper folder added

When I try to configure the wallpaper by right-clicking on the desktop, Plasma goes to a blank screen with only the mouse visible. When I went through plasma system settings to wallpaper, I found the folder of backgrounds set to: /usr/local/share/wallpapers I tried to add a second folder: /u
