Hi folks,
I'm attempting to install SLiM and XFCE4 on 4.8.
I first installed slim to replace the oh-so-pretty xdm, and it worked fine
to get into fvwm. After installing xfce4 however, xdm started instead of
slim on boot. As best I can determine it's an xfce problem, not a slim
problem.

mount_msdos(8) says:

Use the specified mount options, as described in
mount(8).
But when you try -o async it says "option not supported".

I install, reboot, and get kernal panic before I can login for the first
time into the system. I included 2 dmesg's because they don't read the
same under .mp and .rd and I can not run trace in bsd.rd because it
starts the install when I boot>bsd.rd so I can only do (I)nstall
